The Sound of Hyphen8 – The Playlist
With Covid19 scuppering most plans for the summer, we thought we would bring you the sound of Hyphen8. Some of the staff have nominated a maximum of 2 tracks. The playlist is somewhat eclectic and it may not be a great replacement for Glastonbury but we love it!
No One Knows – Queens of the Stone Age, chosen by Jess. Whatever the mood this instantly cheers me up and makes me want to jump around the room and sing along.
Sitting on the Dock of the Bay- Otis Reading, chosen by Dan P. “this is my go to song for relaxing after a stressful day, I can shut my eyes and within seconds I am sat on a dock with my feet paddling in the lake.
Let me be your fantasy- Baby D, chosen by Dan P. “This is my song to kick off something I want to build.”
Good Vibrations- The Beach Boys, chosen by Elaine. ” ~(an oldie but a goodie (a bit like me) this song just oozes summer fun and makes me feel happy.”
Superstylin – Groove Armada, chosen by Elaine- “Often my dance floor filler when it’s just me in the kitchen.”
Sweet Home Alabama, Lynyrd Skynyrd chosen by Steph “it reminds me of being back on the boat in Mexico after my first scuba dive and dancing round a Texan pubb with a load of mad texans. It really does conjure up images of blue skies and fun for me.”
Quirky Bone – Murky Version from the Divinity Original Sins 2 Soundtrack, chosen by Emma “I can’t listen to songs with lyrics whilst I am working, so I end up listening to a lot of movie and video sound tracks, this has been one of my recent favourites.
Track Eight – Into the Wild (LP) Chosen by Emma “This reminds me of walking up ridiculously steep cliffs when I worked on Jersey.
We Like To Party – The Vengaboys, chosen by David “No explanation needed”
