Revisiting Calum's Cabin - An Update

We've previously told the story of Calum's Cabin, from a operations perspective, but two years on, Calum’s Cabin, a small but mighty Scottish charity that supports children facing cancer and their families are now using Salesforce also for Fundraising!

Which we are proud to have supported with their digital transformation on Salesforce. With 12 owned apartments near Glasgow hospitals and a growing number of holiday cottages, the team provides crucial space and time together for families during the most difficult periods of their lives.

They support over 200 families a year through accommodation, fundraising events, and hands-on care, powered by an incredibly passionate team and community of fundraisers.

Their Latest Challenge - Fundraising

After being introduced by Inspiring Scotland our founder Elaine worked with their team probono to support their work. Since, Calum’s Cabin has run dozens of community fundraising events each year, from Strictly Come Dancing and golf days to Easter appeals and participated in the Kiltwalk. But until recently, managing these campaigns relied heavily on manual spreadsheets, scattered communication, and guesswork.

Tracking JustGiving income, issuing thank yous, assigning raffle prizes, or finding out who needed a t-shirt for the Kiltwalk often came down to someone remembering to follow up.

There was too much room for error, and too much time lost doing it.
