Women Win

About Women Win

Women Win is a global women's fund based in Amsterdam, dedicated to advancing gender justice and empowering women and girls worldwide.

Originally founded to promote girls' leadership and life skills through sports, Women Win has expanded its work into three core areas: gender equity in sports, women's economic resilience in global supply chains, and fiscal sponsorships for emerging women's funds.

By leveraging data and technology, Women Win supports over 300 organisations in creating lasting change.

The Challenge: A System in Need of Change

As Women Win expanded its focus, managing partner relationships and program data efficiently became increasingly complex. The organisation needed a system that could support their impact goals and plans for growth.

"We wanted our partners to view Salesforce as a supportive tool, not an obligation," shared
Hannah Strauss, a member of Women Win's team.

"Our previous system design wasn't sustainable, especially as our work became more decentralised. We needed a system that
could streamline data entry, improve reporting, and ultimately enhance the user experience."

Women Win's Key Pain Points:

Before their digital transformation, Women Win encountered several obstacles that hindered efficient data management and user engagement.

Their expansion into new areas of work required a flexible, centralised platform that could keep up with the growing complexity of their programs.

When they initially rolled out Salesforce Communities to streamline partner data entry, there was always a need for continuous improvement around the user experience and data accessibility.

  • Pain Bullet

Limited Data Accessibility & Reporting Challenges

    • Difficulty in customising reports to reflect program impact accurately to make data driven decisions, rather than looking through multiple documents.

    • The team needed continuous external support to modify reporting structures which was time consuming, costly and didn't give them insights at their finger-tips.

    • A lack of real-time insights for internal decision-making and funder reporting.

  • Exclamation Bullet

    Complex Partner Data Management

    • Existing systems required partners to input data in a cumbersome way, reducing engagement.

    • Disjointed processes meant valuable program information was difficult to track.

    • A need for a user-friendly interface to encourage seamless data sharing.

  • Pain Bullet

    Rigid and poor collaborative technology

    • The team wanted tools that enabled them to collaborate.

    • They wanted tools that were easy to use and intuitive, that would allow them to tag or assign each other on tasks, so that next steps and swift working were a breeze.

    • Old fashioned systems and spreadsheets held them back from being able to scale their impacts in the ways they wanted due to time-consuming ways of working.
